Pathways to Nelson and the Kootenays
Nelson BC is a beautiful eclectic and cosmopolitan town, bursting with natural wonders and funky charm. But we are geographically isolated, so it can be tough to get here unless you are ready to drive! Heading here from the Coast or the Prairies? Grab your friends and make it a caravan! Team up and carpool! Or treat yourself and fly into West Kootenay Regional Airport (YCG) in Castlegar, where you can rent a car and have an adventure...https://www.aircanada.com/home/ca/en/aco/flights​
YCG is a 45 minute drive from Nelson.

If you are coming up from the United States, the closest International Airport is Spokane (GEG), where, again, a car rental is your surest bet to join us up here.

As an alternative for travelers who aren't keen to drive 8 hours from Victoria/Vancouver to our backyard, and are on a budget, we are working on a possible Vancouver to Nelson and back private charter bus especially for the Marathon! If enough people contact us with interest in this, it will be another option to visit us this Spring!
